Last night, Baby Girl and I slept like logs. All I remember is tucking ourselves into bed and snoring away to glory. We finally got a good night's sleep after a very long time. On a normal winter night, we don't have the heater on full blast. Thanks to the ooh-so-warm blankets which keep us cozy and warm. *True bliss!*

Cut to the morning, as soon as I woke up and crept out of bed, I felt the chilly weather pinch my foot soles and make me want to run. Brrrr.... It was soooooo cold !
Even before I brushed, I had to run to turn on the heater. I think today is the coldest day I have ever seen in my life because the morning temperature was around -25 Celsius / -14 Fahrenheit.
So what did I do ? Made myself a hot cup of coffee, a hot breakfast meal, snuggled with my feet on the couch in socks and enjoyed the chilliness with episodes of "How I Met Your Mother". :)

What's the coldest temperature that you have been ? And how do you like to spend a cold winter day ?
Yours' truly,

I lived in the midwest and in Boston and I have experienced temps to just below zero, but never for very extended periods of time. Today in Phoenix is was 74 :) Keep warm! Sounds like a great day for a warm drink and a good book!
ReplyDeleteHi Karin. It's awesome that you are having good temperatures in Phoenix. Makes me wanna come there :)
DeleteI'm currently flying into Chicago, and it's -4 the pilot just told us. And that's warmer than it's been for the past three days! Ha!
ReplyDeleteHi D.J., welcome here :) Hope the weather is back to normal temps now. Stay warm.
DeleteThe minimum temperature I have been was 8, plus that is. -14 I would not come out of the quilt wonly :-)
ReplyDeleteI didn't come out for like half the day :)
DeleteThe coldest was a couple of years ago when they actually closed school because of it (I think it was more than -40 with windchill). Usually we have a week or so every winter of -25 and a bit colder, but this year it has started early and is just going on and on. I really feel for the people in more southern regions who aren't set up for this kind of thing. I complain (a lot!) but at least we have insulation, central heating and proper winter clothes.
ReplyDeleteHello Mary and welcome here :) Yup, it's so much easier to stay warm with heaters and proper winter clothes. Just can't imagine the case otherwise.
DeleteI know what you mean, EM. Here it went down to minus 40 C. Hope all three of you are warm and safe :)
ReplyDeleteHi Anisha. Hope the weather is all ok back at Chicago. :) I had experienced the snow last year in IL and it was a lot ....
