Mom #AtoZChallenge

Dear Ma,
Source
I don’t know what to say. Or write. About a month ago, as I was brain-storming the topics for my blogging challenge, all I could write down for the letter ‘M’ was the topic - “Mother”. After that, it was a half hour of plain staring at my laptop screen in search of what to write.

It’s a month later and nothing much has changed. Even now as I am sitting on the bed amidst the darkness of the night, I still stare at my laptop, while intermittently gazing at the ceiling and blinking away naturally. Sigh!

You have been the only source of constant inspiration in my life. So then why is it so hard to write to you?

I think I will just go ahead and put down the feelings that come to my mind at this moment.

Thank you!

I can’t say this enough and I realize how I haven't been saying it often.

For everything Ma.

For your everlasting love, the constant nurturing, the limitless affection, every sacrifice (small and big), the unbelievable tolerance, your futuristic visions, the words of wisdom, the soothing stroke of comfort and much more.

You aren't accredited well for all that you have endured.

So if I had the chance, I would go back in time and relive all those childhood moments, crucial life memories and important phases of life with you all over again just so I can indulge myself in your warmth and care again.

I love you.

Note : An open letter to my mom on the one thing I would like to say to her. :)

If you had to write an open letter to your mom, what would you say to her ?

  2. Never can say those things too often. My mother died last year. I told her "thank you" and "I love you" many times and I'm glad I did while she was still around. I know she appreciated it.

    1. Sorry to know about your mother, Arlee. Glad to know you always expressed your gratitude and love for her. That is what counts in the end. :)

  3. My mother is my inspiration too and I've blogged so many times about the sacrifices my mom has made to raise her children. The saddest part for any girl is after marriage when she has to leave behind her mother and go to a new home.

    1. Yes Prasanna. Harsh reality of our life. I always have this debate with my hubby as to why boys always have all the fun :(

    1. My mom isn't a frequent visitor but she does make it a point to read when I tell her that I have posted something about her. :)
