I sat on the bridge, staring at the sky, waiting for inspiration to come find me.
My mind played futile games with my never-ending thoughts.
Then I remembered how you looked the other day and just like that everything stopped. I smiled, closed my eyes and relished the moment.
The way you held me and kissed me, made my heart flutter. Then and even now.
Suddenly I sat up and held the pen in my hands. As I opened my eyes, I imagined your face on the blank paper.
But all I could write was - “I love you mom!”

DeleteMom's love, care and sacrifices have been a source of inspiration for me to write. Nice twist in the end :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Prasanna. Doesn't the word "Mom" or "Mother" itself instigate a lot of encouragement and inspiration in us ? :)
